DVD modules

PLDS manufactures DVD-ROM, DVD-Video and DVD-Combi playback modules that are fully automotive specified. Our DVD modules do playback as well CD-Audio (Text), CD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW discs.

The loading mechanism features a unique scratch-free Pirouette Loader for safe disc insertion. The content playback is virtually not affected by its excellent shock immunity provided mechanically and electronically.

The disc speeds up to x6 CAV and access times lower than 450 ms. The thickness is less than 28mm.

CD modules

PLDS manufactures CD-Audio, CD-ROM and CD-MP3 playback modules that are fully automotive specified. Our CD modules do playback CD-Audio (Text) and CD-R/RW including multisession. Supported audio compression algorithms are MP3 and WMA.

The content playback is virtually not affected by its excellent shock immunity provided mechanically and electronically.

The disc speeds up to 2x CLV speed with the ROM modules. The thickness is 21mm.

Storage Device Modules

PLDS manufactures virtual CD changer modules that are fully automotive specified. These are CD single modules that enable the customer to store up to 15 CD-A discs on a memory chip. Recording of radio content is possible as well. The advantages are obvious: A purchased CD can be stored immediately without keeping it in the car and the module does not need a complex mechanism like a conventional 6-Disc changer.

Our Storage Device Modules modules do playback CD-Audio (Text) and CD-R/RW incl. multisession. Supported compression algorithms are MP3 and WMA.

The content playback is virtually non affected by its excellent shock immunity provided mechanically and electronically.

The recording speed is up to 4x. The thickness is 38mm.
